The truth is that almost any group will get you through The Zodiac Age without much problem, because the game was balanced around you only having one job per character, not two. Out of all the jobs available in Final Fantasy XII, the Black Mage is probably the first one in your party that will actually break the damage limit, making it the best FFXII job for dealing damage. This is especially true with the release of the excellent Zodiac Age remaster, which introduces several new elements to the game.
